Some news from the Netherlands. My friend Otto de vries spent two hours yesterday trying to read a BTO metal ring on a Snow Bunting near the costal area of the IJssel-lake in the Wieringermeerpolder. He successfully managed to get the full code - TP780725.

Thanks to Otto for these photos.

  3. While TP is a valid prefix for a B ring there is a problem with the number being 1 digit too long. With under 300 ringed per year and TP being a relatively new series there is a very good chance of it being traced assuming the last 2 or 3 digits are correct.

  4. ohh well spotted Richard. I'll check back on the e-mail when I'm in work - incase I've made a type error. If not I'll get back in touch with Otto. Thanks. Kane
